What do you get for ¥10,000 a night?
A whole 25 m² apartment rather than a hotel room: two double beds, gas cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, rice cooker and full kitchenware, a washing machine with detergent, air conditioning with heating and cooling, a large TV, an iron, a hairdryer, towels and basic toiletries, and free home WiFi (no pocket WiFi is provided).
Getting around
Hikawadai Station is about a 4-minute walk. It is served by the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line and Fukutoshin Line, and trains run direct on those lines toward Ikebukuro and Shibuya — though we do not claim every train is a one-seat ride. Approximate travel times from Hikawadai:
- Ikebukuro — about 8 minutes, direct
- Shinjuku-sanchome — about 14 minutes on the Fukutoshin Line
- Shibuya — about 20 minutes on the Fukutoshin Line (F-Liner)
For everyday shopping there is a Summit supermarket about 120 m from the station, a Seven-Eleven about 96 m away, and two officially registered shopping streets right at the station.
How far is the Harry Potter studio tour?
Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo — The Making of Harry Potter is in Kasuga-cho, the same ward as this apartment. From Hikawadai Station it is roughly 25 to 30 minutes door to door, changing at Kotake-mukaihara and Nerima for the Seibu Toshima Line to Toshimaen, then a short walk.
Honest limitations
The apartment is on the ground floor, so no elevator is needed — though we have not measured the entrance itself, so we do not claim step-free access all the way from the street; ask us before booking if that matters. This is the unit closest to the road, so you can sometimes hear traffic from outside, and morning light comes in early. Maximum occupancy is 4 guests. Under the Hotels and Inns Business Act the operator must report guest details to the authorities, so we will ask every guest for passport information before arrival.
