Where to stay for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo — The Making of Harry Potter

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo — The Making of Harry Potter is on the former Toshimaen site in Kasuga-cho, Nerima-ku. BB Online runs seven whole apartments in the same ward, about a 4-minute walk from Hikawadai Station and about 25 to 30 minutes from the studio by train — four two-bedroom apartments for up to 6 and three studios for up to 4. This is the official direct-booking website: you book directly with the owner, with live availability and no agency fees.

How do you get from Hikawadai to the studio tour?

By train in about 25 to 30 minutes: Hikawadai to Kotake-mukaihara, change for Nerima, then the Seibu Toshima Line to Toshimaen Station, which is a 2-minute walk from the entrance. We do not publish ticket prices or opening hours here because they change; book tour tickets on the studio's own website before you travel, as entry is by timed ticket.

Where can a family of 4 to 6 stay for the studio tour?

In a whole Kaza apartment: two bedrooms, four semi-double beds, a living and dining area, a full kitchen, a washing machine, air conditioning and home Wi-Fi, for up to 6 guests — room to spread out, cook breakfast and dry robes after a day at the studio. Children's dinnerware is provided, and every window has a lock designed to be hard for children to open.

For two to four people, the Casasele designer studios in the second building have two double beds, a kitchen, a washing machine and keyless entry:

Is it better to stay near the studio tour or in central Tokyo?

Near it, if the tour is a fixed day in your trip, and you lose little on the other days: Hikawadai is about 8 minutes from Ikebukuro by direct train, Shinjuku-sanchome about 14 minutes and Shibuya about 20 minutes on the Fukutoshin Line, and Haneda Airport about 58 minutes via Ikebukuro. Hikawadai itself is a quiet residential neighbourhood with two shopping streets, a supermarket and 24-hour convenience stores at the station — see the Hikawadai area guide.

Anything else for a Harry Potter or anime trip?

Nerima is the birthplace of Japanese TV animation. The Toei Animation Museum in Higashi-Oizumi is free to enter, a short walk from Oizumi-gakuen Station (about 24 minutes from Hikawadai), and the Oizumi Anime Gate outside the station has bronze statues of Astro Boy, Galaxy Express 999 and other classics. In Ikebukuro, one hop away, Sunshine City holds the Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo and the animate flagship store is near the East Exit.

Every apartment is a whole home — you share nothing with other guests or the host — and each is professionally cleaned before arrival. Larger groups can book two or more apartments in the same building. Booking here means paying the owner directly, with no Airbnb or Booking.com commission on top.
