Getting around
Hikawadai Station is about a 4-minute walk. It is served by the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line (Y05) and Fukutoshin Line (F05), so central Tokyo is a direct ride: Ikebukuro in about 8 minutes, Shinjuku-sanchome about 14, Shibuya about 20 on the Fukutoshin Line, and Iidabashi about 20 on the Yurakucho Line. Haneda Airport is about 58 minutes via Ikebukuro.
For groceries there is a Summit Store about 120 m from the station, a Seven-Eleven about 96 m away, and two officially registered shotengai shopping streets at the station itself.
How far is the Harry Potter studio tour?
Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo — The Making of Harry Potter sits on the former Toshimaen site in Kasuga-cho, the same ward as this apartment. From Hikawadai it is about 25–30 minutes door to door: a train hop via Kotake-mukaihara and Nerima onto the Seibu Toshima Line to Toshimaen, then a two-minute walk.
What is the neighbourhood like?
Hikawadai is a calm residential area with an everyday-Tokyo feel — quiet at night, and especially beautiful during sakura season, according to the owners. Johoku Chuo Park, a metropolitan park with more than 9,000 trees including cherry, is about a 20-minute walk from the station. The hosts live nearby, are reachable by phone or message, and will pick guests up from Hikawadai Station when their schedule permits.
Travelling as a larger group?
Kaza 103 and Kaza 105 are ground-floor apartments like Kaza 101 — no stairs to climb, and no elevator to wait for. Kaza 503 is a 5th-floor apartment in an elevator building with step-free access from the elevator — useful if part of your group has luggage or mobility concerns.
Honest limitations
Kaza 101 is on the ground floor, so there are no stairs to climb and no elevator to wait for. Two things guests do mention: the air conditioner is a Japanese wall unit that takes a few minutes to make a difference, so it can feel like nothing is happening when you first switch it on; and some guests get off at Sakuradai by mistake instead of Hikawadai — message us and we will send you a map pin. There is no parking on the premises, though there is coin parking nearby; we cannot store luggage after checkout; and smoking, pets and parties are not permitted.
